Not long now before the 2008 Polzeath student surf kayaking weekend which is to be held on the weekend of 10th-12th October at the usual venue of Valley Campsite right in the middle of Polzeath. It's a nice simple weekend of surf kayaking and sociable drinking, with entertainment from Robbie's Roadshow Disco on the Saturday night.

Our usual turnout is usually students from mainly southern uni's, and a few of us from the dirty north. The social element of the weekend is second to none, and is a great opportunity to meet like minded paddlers and catch up with old friends.

The Rodeo is drawing ever-closer, so make sure you get your entries booked as soon as you can. Remember the deadline is 7th February. More information about the event can be found on this page. Come prepared for pirating!

Thanks to the several hundred of you who attended the recent Dee Tour and partied and drank until the small hours, not to mention those of you who just turned up to paddle. A huge cheer to all who helped with the organisation of this event, it was monstrous and amazing and crazysexycool all at the same time!

Things are hotting up for the forthcoming Dee Tour this weekend, so air out that tent of yours, check the padding in your boat, make sure your drain bung is firmly in place, point the bonnet of your favourite paddle-wagon in the direction of north Wales and come join us for a corker of a weekend!

Many thanks to all who made it to this trip, we had a cracking turn out of around 130 people, and the waves were at least 8 feet at the back! Plus of course the usual drinking and dancing on Saturday evening, awesome :-)
